Concentrated solution for infusion
3.Indication
Indicated for inotropic support in the short-term treatment of adults with cardiac decompensation due to depressed contractility resulting either from organic heart disease or from cardiacsurgical procedures.
4.Dosage Administration
Dobutamin-BFS is used for intravenous infusion due to the short half-life. Dobutamin-BFS concentrated solution (250mg / 5ml) is diluted in at least 50 ml of appropriate intravenous infusion solution before use in infusion bottle. Some intravenous solutions are listed below:
- Sodium chloride intravenous infusion solution
- 5.0% dextrose intravenous solution
- Sodium lactate intravenous infusion solution
For example, 5 ml of concentrated intravenous infusion DOBUTAMIN - BFS is diluted with the following volumes:
- 250 ml to have a concentration of 1000 mcg / ml dobutamin
- 500ml to have a concentration of 500 mcg / ml dobutamin
- 50 ml to have a concentration of 5000 mcg / ml dobutamin (this concentration is only for those who have to use water restriction and use the infusion pump with precise dose).
The diluted solution should only be used within 4 hours.
